How it works

How fancy text works

Fancy text uses Unicode characters that resemble different lettering styles. The output can be copied, but its acceptance in a particular app or profile field has not been verified by this tool.

It maps basic Latin letters and, where a style includes them, digits. Other characters stay as entered. It does not install a font or apply one style to every writing system.

01

How to use it

  1. Type a name, short bio, or caption in the input.
  2. Scroll through the live style previews.
  3. Tap Copy on one style and paste it into your app.
02

Make it work better

  • Use styled text for a short name or heading, not every paragraph.
  • Check accessibility by keeping key information in plain text.
  • If an app shows boxes, try bold or full-width text instead.

Compare changed letters with the original

Type Aéあ1 and look at the Bold result. It becomes 𝐀éあ𝟏: the plain A and digit change, while é and あ stay as entered because this style maps basic Latin letters and digits only. The Original text row copies your input without decoration, so you can keep a readable fallback.

These are different Unicode characters, not a font applied to the original letters. Mathematical letters can be announced differently by a screen reader or changed by compatibility normalization. The preview cannot certify accessibility or platform acceptance. If a name fails, is hard to find, or is read awkwardly, use Original text for the name and keep decoration out of essential information.

Bold input: Aéあ1
𝐀éあ𝟏

The original remains Aéあ1. Do not expect accented or Japanese letters to acquire the same style.

FAQ

Good to know

Is this a real font generator?

It converts ordinary letters to similar-looking Unicode characters. It does not install or embed a font.

Will fancy text work in every app?

App and profile-field acceptance has not been verified for these styles. Unicode references identify the characters, while our checks cover this tool’s output and local copying. Try the exact destination field and keep the Original text version if a style is rejected or hard to read.

Why did some letters stay normal?

This tool maps basic Latin letters and the digits supported by each style. Characters outside those mappings stay as entered. Use Original text to copy your input without styling.

Can screen readers read fancy text?

Support varies and pronunciation can be confusing. Keep important names and instructions readable in plain text.
