How it works
Find one symbol across every collection
Symbol Search checks all of the character collections on this site at once. Search by a common name such as heart, arrow, sparkle, bracket, check, or copyright. You can also paste a symbol into the search field to find its Unicode details.
Results combine the character name, group name, useful aliases, and Unicode code point. This makes it easier to distinguish similar-looking characters before copying one into a profile, document, message, or game name.
Search happens locally in the browser and does not send your query to a search server. Copying a result adds it to the recent list on this device, and the heart button saves a favorite in local browser storage for faster reuse.
How to use it
- Enter a symbol name, alias, shape, feeling, or exact character.
- Compare the visible character, Unicode name, code point, and support note.
- Copy a result or press its heart button to keep it in Your symbols.
Make it work better
- Start with a broad word such as heart, then add a second word to narrow the list.
- Search the exact character when two symbols look almost identical.
- Choose Wide support for documents and test less common characters in games.
FAQ
Good to know
What can I search for?
You can search character names, collection names, aliases such as forever or temperature, and the exact symbol itself.
Why do some results have the same shape?
Unicode includes characters with similar appearances but different code points and meanings. Check the name and U+ code before choosing one.
Are my search words sent to a server?
No. The index is included with the page and filtered in your browser. The text you enter is not uploaded for search processing.
How do favorites work?
Press the heart on a result to save it in this browser. Favorites do not require an account and are not synced to another device.
